On Saturday, Bailey was five months old. I am still not sure where this year has gone so far, but I am trying to keep up. This last few days we started Bailey on 'solids'. This is going to be a quick run down on what our daily meals look like for both of the kids! --- Breakfast Xavier - one piece of toast with peanut butter, vegemite or honey. One and a half wheatbix with enough boiled water to make it mushy, topped with yoghurt and fruit. Bailey - Mashed banana with breastmilk/formula. Morning tea Xavier - An apple or a bowl of grapes and berries. Usually some unsalted popcorn or crackers with some cheese. Lunch Xavier - sandwiches or a wrap with ham and cheese, pasta, meatballs and rice.. basically anything I can put together! Bailey - puree pumpkin Afternoon tea Xavier - fruit or cheese and crackers Dinner Xavier - Whatever we are eating! Although he will have his food deconstructed if we are having burgers, tacos etc. Bailey - Puree broccoli or other vegetables --- That is just a small sample of a day on my kids plates. For the next week I am going to be showing all the kids meals on my Instagram stories. This way not only can you get the rough idea from this blog but you can see it come to life. Check back here this time next week to see it all summarised in a week on the plate blog!
This blog will also include my favourite kids meal accessories! Now as this is just a short and sweet blog, I am going to leave you with the link to a recipe that I use with Xavier all the time. The 'banana mug cake'! I got this recipe from this page ---> https://cookingperfected.com/banana-mug-cake/ All my love, Bec xx
